A heavy melee chest with big Strength and AC, from the same quest giver as the white cloak. The gate here is Red Dragon Scales off Lord Nagafen (or Talendor) in Nagafen's Lair, soloable by a strong trio on EQL. The rest is a bought vial and 1000 platinum.

Part 1: Red Dragon Scales

  1. Kill Lord Nagafen (or Talendor) in Nagafen's Lair and loot the Red Dragon Scales. (See the Lord Nagafen guide; soloable by a capable trio on EQL.)

Part 2: Vial and coin

  1. Buy a Vial of Swirling Smoke from a vendor.
  2. Gather 1000 platinum.

Part 3: Turn in

  1. Take the Red Dragon Scales, the Vial of Swirling Smoke, and 1000 platinum to Karam Dragonforge in the Rathe Mountains (indifferent faction or better) for the Red Dragonscale Armor.
