September 9, 2026 Update

EQLForge note: The headline is the new Dungeon Crawl system: what were non-respawning zones now covers every indoor dungeon, where nothing respawns naturally, rare creatures show on your map, and clearing the objective pays out motes, experience, and a Bonus Chest of loot and coin, plus your instance charge back. This changes how you farm indoor dungeons, you clear your own instance and re-run it rather than camping a placeholder, so our zone and farming guides are being updated to match. Also notable: every Plane of Sky boss is now flagged as a rare creature, and several AAs including Symphonic Aura and Spell Casting Subtlety became toggleable.

Dungeon Crawls

  • Non-Respawning Zones are now known as Dungeon Crawls, active in every indoor dungeon.
  • To finish a Dungeon Crawl, slay every rare creature and enough of the zone's original population. Nothing you kill respawns naturally.
  • Completing a crawl grants motes and experience, and anything you killed may add its loot and coin to a Bonus Chest.
  • The easier the zone is for you, the smaller the payout.
  • Finishing a Dungeon Crawl refunds your instance charge.
  • Rare creatures now appear on your map while you are in a Dungeon Crawl.

Alternate Advancement

  • Spell Casting Subtlety, Symphonic Aura, and Reaching Notes are now toggleable without changing the rank of the AA.
  • The Disabled ranks of AAs were removed and Enabled was dropped from the AA names, with no change to points spent or assigned. A purchased AA can be toggled from its hotkey, shown by a green ring when active.
  • Fixed Blood Rune's cap, which was 5/8/10 instead of 5%/8%/10% of the player's maximum HP.
  • Symphonic Aura now suppresses spell instrument animations and sounds. Spell particle effects remain controlled by the Beneficial Songs option.

Achievements

  • The You're Faunny! and It's Plane to See achievements are now properly labeled as optional.

Gameplay

  • Fixed the running animation acting strange while using instruments or attacking.
  • Bosses in the Plane of Sky are now all flagged as rare creatures.
  • Fixed pets being unable to proc AOE spells.
  • Normalized the levitation fall rate for smoother falling.

Items

  • Spider Silk Cap can be upgraded again.

Spells

  • Further prevented detrimental spells from stripping beneficial spells when their effects collide.

UI

  • Fixed an erroneous string when leaving an instance while in combat.
  • Added a message explaining a failure to earn an instance recharge when a Dungeon Crawl is too easy.
  • Removed the non-existent Castle Mistmoore to The Bloodfalls zone line from the Find window.

EQLForge note: The headline is the Estate of Unrest revamp: its rare named are now guaranteed spawns with no placeholders and improved loot, the same model as the Castle Mistmoore revamp, and Solusek's Eye gets the same guaranteed-spawn treatment. We are re-checking both zones' spawn and drop data against the new behavior. On the item side, Torrid Corruptor now grants a quest title on right-click, Warlord Skarlon armor gained AC, and the Verishe Mal Greataxe gained endurance. Beastlords also pick up a new pet AA, Strike As One.

August 18, 2026 Update

EQLForge note: The headline is the Castle Mistmoore revamp: its named are now guaranteed spawns with guaranteed stat-bearing loot, which pushes it up the farming list, and we are re-checking its drop tables against the new data. Shadowknights gain earlier sustain with Lifespike at 5 and the new Lifebite tap, and the Soldier's Brooch is smoother now that you choose your reward at turn-in. Faster respawns in Kedge Keep and a small group-XP buff round it out.

Spells

  • Lifespike now trains at level 5 for Shadowknights, down from level 8.
  • A new lifetap, Lifebite, is added at level 10 for Shadowknights and level 8 for Necromancers. It is auto-granted for both classes and sold by the appropriate spell vendors.

Items

  • Bloodmoon now carries the Improved Vampirism III focus effect.
  • Copper Band now grants +1 AC.

Quests

  • The Soldier's Brooch quest in Rathe Mountains now lets you choose your reward instead of it being set by your primary class.

Zones

  • Castle Mistmoore revamped: its named NPCs are now guaranteed spawns, each with a guaranteed common or rare drop that carries stat bonuses, are flagged as rare creatures, and have reduced aggression during the day.
  • Fixed high-level named in Kedge Keep that were taking far too long to respawn.
  • Seplawishinl Bladeblight in the Ocean of Tears now respawns considerably faster.

Grouping and UI

  • Grouping now grants a small experience bonus, as intended.
  • Added UI scaling in 0.25 steps and cursor scaling, plus an option to use your operating system cursor.

Plane of Sky (charm tuning)

  • The wasps and bees have had their stingers filed down while charmed.
  • The wasp known as Murderbee is a bit easier to handle solo.
  • Shimmering Meteors deal less damage while charmed.

Also in this patch

  • Additional combat, NPC, animation, pathing, and interface fixes.
