Soldier's Brooch Quest

Quest: Soldier's Brooch Range Quest (Rathe Mountains)

A fast, repeatable Range slot upgrade in Rathe Mountains, and a great one to run on every character. You farm four quest items off a single camp on a two-minute respawn, then turn them in and choose your Soldier's Brooch. As of the August 18, 2026 update you pick which version you want at turn-in, so a single character can collect any or all eight without switching its primary class. Note for EverQuest veterans: unlike the retail servers, the EQ Legends brooches are not Froglok-restricted, so any race can wear them. This is a brand-new find, so details are community-sourced and worth confirming in game.

Part 1: Farm the four quest items

  1. Travel to Rathe Mountains and go to the camp at /way 1187, 2479 (the northwest circle on the map).
  2. Kill the mobs there and collect the four quest items. They are on a roughly two-minute respawn, so a full set comes together quickly.
  3. Bank each item as you loot it.

Part 2: Turn in for your brooch

  1. Take the four items to Gaz Commander Faltip at /way -1576, -255 (the southeast circle, toward the Plane of Knowledge zone line).
  2. Hand them in and choose your reward. Since the August 18, 2026 update you pick which of the eight Soldier's Brooch versions you receive, rather than it being set by your primary class.

Part 3: Collect every version

  1. To collect more versions, farm another set of four and choose a different brooch at turn-in. You no longer need to switch your primary class between turn-ins.
  2. Repeat for as many versions as you want. With the two-minute respawn, farming several sets in one trip is quick.
  3. Every brooch is Placeable, so spare copies also work as house and guild-hall decor.
