The 16 Classes

Every EverQuest Legends character fuses three of these sixteen classes. Here's what each one is, what it brings to a trio, and the best combos to build around it. Pick a class to dive in.

Tank

Warrior Plate · Tank The purest tank. Cleave threat and the deepest defensive floor, build a party around keeping enemies swinging at you. Paladin Plate · Tank Holy tank-hybrid. Plate mitigation plus minor heals and buffs, the safest primary for new solo players. Shadow Knight Plate · Tank Dark tank. Lifetaps and disease/poison damage let it hold aggro while chipping health back, a self-sufficient bruiser.

Healer

Cleric Plate · Healer The gold-standard healer. Strongest raw healing in the game plus revives and defensive buffs, pairs with almost anything. Druid Leather · Healer Nature healer with teleports and damage nukes. Level one early for map-wide travel and self-sufficiency. Shaman Chain · Healer · slow Healer-support hybrid. Its slow debuff can cut enemy attack speed roughly in half, a backbone of tough fights.

Melee DPS

Ranger Chain · Melee DPS Bow-and-blade hybrid. Ranged pressure plus melee finishers and light tracking utility for open-world play. Monk Cloth · Melee DPS Unarmored martial artist. Elite avoidance and sustained fists, can even off-tank thanks to high dodge. Berserker Chain · Melee DPS Burst axe damage with double swing speed. All gas, little brake, glorious in a group with a healer behind you. Rogue Leather · Melee DPS · slow Backstab specialist. Highest single-target sustained damage from stealth, needs a tank to hold aggro.

Caster

Wizard Cloth · Caster Nuke artillery with teleports. Huge burst windows and party travel, squishy, so pair with mitigation. Magician Cloth · Caster Pet class. Summons a tanky elemental that soaks hits while you nuke, one of the best speed-leveling engines. Necromancer Cloth · Caster Damage-over-time and pets with lifetaps. Nearly unkillable solo, drains foes while its skeleton holds the line.

Support

Beastlord Leather · Support · slow Pet-and-melee hybrid. A warder that fights alongside you, a single-target slow, and big attack-speed and regen buffs. Enchanter Cloth · Support · slow Crowd control and haste. Mesmerize locks down extra enemies and its haste buffs supercharge your melee. Bard Chain · Support · slow Jack-of-all-trades songs: buffs, movement speed, crowd control, and utility. Glue for almost any composition.
