EverQuest Legends Tinkering Guide

Tradeskill1 to 200Toolbox (Gnomes only)

Tinkering is the Gnome-only tradeskill, building gadgets and gizmos in a Toolbox. Most components come from the Steamfont tinkering merchant, and the useful mid-game items are breathing gear like the Aqualung and Rebreather for underwater zones.

How Tinkering works

Every combine happens in a Toolbox (Gnomes only), found near the tradeskill merchants in most towns. Your Intelligence or Wisdom (whichever is higher) governs your chance to gain a skill point, and a failed combine keeps the container but loses the ingredients, so buy your materials in bulk and expect some waste on the way up.

Bom Knotwood in the Steamfont Mountains sells most tinkering components, with bottles, lanterns, and water from general merchants elsewhere.
