Erudin

Outdoor Odus Lv 1–10

Erudin is the coastal home city of the Erudite race on the continent of Odus, a calm and orderly seat of magical learning built around the greatest library of the good races. It serves as the primary starting hub for high-INT Erudite casters and paladins, offering full banking, tradeskill stations, and guild training.

Getting thereThe city sits on the coast bordered inland by the dark Toxxulia Forest, which is reached on foot through the city gates. A boat runs from the docks across Erud's Crossing to the human city of Qeynos, and the adjacent Erudin Palace zone holds additional royal and guild facilities. Druid and wizard ports also make it a common travel destination.
EnemiesAs a guarded good-aligned city Erudin has no huntable population beyond the guards, so combat happens outside in Toxxulia Forest rather than in the streets. Newbie Erudites train on the beetles, kobolds, and snakes of the surrounding forest.

Notable NPCs

  • Banker of Erudin banker Staffs the Bank of Erudin where players deposit coin and store items.

Dangers

The city itself is very safe, but the Toxxulia Forest just outside the gates holds aggressive kobolds and wandering wildlife that can surprise a fresh newbie. The main risk is the long, exposed boat ride, where a disconnect or an eager high-level predator can leave a low-level traveler stranded.

Tips

Use the boat from the docks to reach Qeynos and the mainland rather than trying to swim. Bank and stock reagents before heading into Toxxulia to grind, and visit the library and tradeskill stations, which make Erudin a convenient home base for INT casters.
