The in-game map for this zone. North is up.
Felwithe is the golden high elf city of Faydwer, an ornate walled enclave of guild halls, canals and refined architecture divided into South Felwithe and North Felwithe. It serves as the home and starting city for high elf clerics, paladins, wizards, magicians and enchanters, functioning mainly as a service and questing hub rather than a hunting zone. King Tearis Thex rules from within, and his daughter Firiona Vie is its most famous resident.
Felwithe connects only to Greater Faydark, whose forest links onward to Butcherblock Mountains, Lesser Faydark and the orc keep of Crushbone. Players zone in from Greater Faydark into South Felwithe and pass deeper to reach North Felwithe.
The Felguard paladin patrols are far too strong for newcomers and will root and kill players who wander onto bad faction. Getting caught deep in North Felwithe with low high-elf faction is the main risk, so newcomers should stick to the outer areas and Greater Faydark.
High elf clerics and paladins should camp Joren Nobleheart for an early Ghoulbane, one of the best low-level weapons available. Bank, buy spells and train between hunts, and mind your faction so the city guards stay friendly.
