High Keep is the fortified stone castle sitting within Highpass Hold, home to human guards on its upper floors and the Pickclaw goblin clan that has burrowed into its dungeon basement. It doubles as a busy trade and quest hub with banking and merchants right at the entrance, making it a popular mid-level camp.
Getting thereThe keep opens only into Highpass Hold, which itself bridges the Eastern Plains of Karana to the west and Kithicor Forest to the east, so travelers pass through the gorge from Karana or come down from Kithicor to reach it.

Dangers
Prisoners aggro out of their cells no matter how far beneath your level they are, and pulling the tight goblin basement can chain multiple casters at once, while guard faction hits punish good-aligned races who farm the humans.
Tips
Evil-aligned races camp the guards most comfortably, but anyone can grind the Pickclaw goblins in the basement for steady coin, and the on-site bank and merchants let you sell and restock without ever leaving the keep.
