Nektulos Forest is a perpetually dark, gloomy woodland serving as the newbie and low-level hunting ground for the dark elves of Neriak. Wildlife and skeletons cover the lower levels while roaming stone and iron guardians provide tougher targets and a hazard for good-aligned visitors.
Neriak, the underground dark elf city, lies to the east through a tunnel; East Commonlands is reached to the south; and Lavastorm Mountains connects to the northwest.
Most creatures travel in packs of their own kind, so pulls can bring several add mobs at once, and the guardians aggressively attack good-aligned races moving through the zone. The playable area is small and gets crowded during peak hours.
Good-aligned players can farm the dark elf guards at the Neriak zone line for bronze weapons and experience, while the East Commonlands side offers safer low-level bears and wolves for characters in the level 4-6 range.
