Neriak is the sprawling subterranean capital of the Teir'Dal dark elves, worshippers of Innoruuk, divided into the Foreign Quarter, the Commons, and Third Gate leading to the royal Palace. Its dark ornate halls house the guilds and services for dark elf warriors, rogues, clerics, shadow knights, necromancers, wizards, magicians, and enchanters.
Getting thereNeriak's outer gate opens into Nektulos Forest, which connects north toward Lavastorm Mountains and south to the East Commonlands, and the three city zones link internally through gates and hidden underground passages behind waterfalls.
EnemiesThe city is friendly to dark elves and their allies, so the primary threats are the powerful city guards who strike down characters of hostile faction, particularly non-dark-elves who wander in without an illusion or good standing.

Non-dark-elves face serious faction problems and can be killed by guards, so visitors often rely on an Illusion: Dark Elf effect to move safely, and part of the Commons is a designated open-combat area on PvP servers.
