North Karana

Outdoor Antonica Lv 10–25

🗺 Zone map

The in-game map for this zone. North is up.

The Northern Plains of Karana are wide grassy flatlands that serve as a major crossroads of central Antonica and a classic mid-teens hunting ground for Qeynos-based adventurers. The zone is dotted with lions, beetles, wolves, and roaming griffawns, with a druid ring and a gypsy caravan camp near its center that make it a popular travel and staging hub.

How to Get to North Karana

A guarded southern bridge crosses into South Karana past a Qeynos guard, an unguarded eastern bridge leads to East Karana and on toward Highpass, and the western edge opens into West Karana, which continues to Qeynos Hills, Erudin's boats, and the road to Halas.

EnemiesLions, lionesses, and lion patriarchs roam the plains alongside pincer and scythe beetles, shadow and silvermist wolves, and grizzly bears, while griffawns, griffenes, and full griffins patrol the skies and hill giants, treants, werewolves, and ghouls prowl for higher-level threats.

Dangers

A rabid griffon with a large aggro radius can appear at the eastern edge and easily kill unwary teens, roaming griffins and hill giants can wander into low-level camps unexpectedly, and the long open runs from Qeynos leave travelers exposed with nowhere to hide.

Tips

Willowisps and beetles near the entrance suit levels 10 to 15, the gypsy camp offers binding and merchants that make it a convenient hub, and keeping to the safer western hills while watching the skies for griffins helps avoid random deaths.
