Rivervale is the cozy halfling town nestled in the hills of Antonica, the starting city for halfling warriors, clerics, rogues, druids and rangers. A river runs through the peaceful settlement, which offers a bank, guild trainers, brewing and tradeskill facilities, and friendly merchants. The town is guarded by well organized halfling wardens and is one of the safest newbie hubs in the game.
Getting thereRivervale sits between Kithicor Forest and Misty Thicket. A narrow, well hidden tunnel links the town to Kithicor Forest on one side, while the other side opens into the guarded wall of Misty Thicket. Travelers heading toward Highpass and beyond generally go through Kithicor.
EnemiesThe town itself is safe, populated by friendly halfling residents and guards. Aggressive creatures are limited mainly to fish such as trout and piranha in the river, with the occasional stronger spawn, so most danger comes from the zones just outside town rather than within.

Dangers
Rivervale is genuinely quiet, but the town guards give a cold and hostile reception to evil aligned characters. The far greater danger lies just outside in Kithicor Forest, which becomes lethally overrun by undead at night, whereas the Misty Thicket approach is much safer for low levels.
Tips
Halflings gain a hide and sneak advantage that makes Rivervale rogues effective early, and the town's brewing and tradeskill stations are handy for crafters. Use the safe Misty Thicket wall side for newbie hunting and never cross Kithicor Forest at night at low level.
