Wu's Fist of Mastery Quest

Quest: Wu's Fist of Mastery, the Monk Test of Fists (Plane of Sky)

Wu's Fist of Mastery is the monk's Plane of Sky hand weapon, earned from Holwin's Test of Fists. It is a fast 16 damage, 22 delay one-hander (1H Blunt, primary or secondary, monk only, all races) and the upgrade to the earlier Wu's Tranquil Fist (16 damage, 27 delay). You reach Holwin in the quest room with an Efreeti's Key from the Key Master, gather three drops from around the islands, and turn them in. Because Plane of Sky is endgame raid content, this is a build-defining monk weapon rather than a leveling piece. Details are community-sourced from eqlwiki, so confirm the drops in game.

Reward
Wu's Fist of Mastery (the upgrade to Wu's Tranquil Fist) (Primary / Secondary, 1H Blunt)
Wu's Fist of Mastery is 16 damage on a 22 delay, monk only (all races), magic and no-drop. Its pre-upgrade form, Wu's Tranquil Fist, is 16 damage on a 27 delay. Same damage, faster swing: the tighter delay is the whole point, giving a monk more sustained DPS and better hand-to-hand uptime.
ClassesMonk only, all races
LevelNo hard level is listed, but Plane of Sky is endgame raid content, so plan on a max-level, raid-geared monk with plane access

ZonesPlane of Sky

Part 1: Reach Holwin in the quest room

  1. Enter the Plane of Sky and pick up a free Efreeti's Key from the Key Master on Island 1, the entry Fairy island.
  2. Use the teleport pad at roughly (1600, 520) to reach the Plane of Sky quest room, where Holwin waits.
  3. Holwin runs the Test of Fists: bring him the three items below to earn the weapon.

Part 2: Gather the three turn-in items

  1. Wind Rune Neza: a random drop from any Plane of Sky mob, so bank one whenever it drops during your climb.
  2. Brass Knuckles: drops from Noble Dojorn on Island 1.5, the Overseer of Air on Island 4, or the Hand of Veeshan on Island 8.
  3. Nebulous Sapphire: drops from the Sister of the Spire on Island 7.

Part 3: Turn in to Holwin

  1. Hand all three items (Wind Rune Neza, Brass Knuckles, Nebulous Sapphire) to Holwin in the quest room.
  2. He rewards Wu's Fist of Mastery, the faster 22-delay fist.
  3. On the upgrade path: eqlwiki lists Wu's Tranquil Fist as the pre-upgrade reward that becomes the Fist of Mastery, so if you already hold a Tranquil Fist, confirm the exact upgrade turn-in in game.

Wu's Fist of Mastery quest FAQ

What is Wu's Fist of Mastery in EverQuest Legends?

It is a monk hand weapon from Holwin's Test of Fists in the Plane of Sky: 1H Blunt, 16 damage on a 22 delay, primary or secondary, monk only and usable by all races. It is the upgrade to Wu's Tranquil Fist (16 damage, 27 delay).

Where does the Wu's fist quest start?

With Holwin in the Plane of Sky quest room. To reach him, grab a free Efreeti's Key from the Key Master on Island 1, then take the teleport pad near (1600, 520) to the quest room.

What items do you need for Wu's Fist of Mastery?

Three: a Wind Rune Neza (random drop from any Plane of Sky mob), Brass Knuckles (from Noble Dojorn on Island 1.5, the Overseer of Air on Island 4, or the Hand of Veeshan on Island 8), and a Nebulous Sapphire (from the Sister of the Spire on Island 7).

Is Wu's Fist of Mastery worth it for a monk?

Yes. It carries the same 16 damage as Wu's Tranquil Fist but swings on a 22 delay instead of 27, so it hits harder over time. As a Plane of Sky reward it is an endgame monk weapon rather than a leveling piece.
