Lady Vox

The White Dragon

Dragon Boss Level 55 Soloable · trio Permafrost ↗

Lady Vox is Nagafen's icy twin, the white dragon deep inside Permafrost past the ice giants. Same soloable trio fight, mirrored element: a level 55 dragon around 32,000 base health whose breath is cold instead of fire. Her signature trick is that she is a cleric and heals herself to full, so if your damage cannot out-pace that heal you will never finish her.

In EQL, this is soloable: Like Nagafen, Vox is a soloable trio fight in Legends rather than the classic guild raid. Her twist is self-healing, so the real check is whether you out-damage her Complete Heal, not whether you have enough players.

How to reach it

Hail the Voidling for Permafrost and choose a D0 to D4 difficulty, then fight in past the ice giants and engage her in her lair (King Thex'Ka IV and High Priest Zaharn hold the zone on the way). Set the difficulty to the fight and loot you want.

Boss statsBase (D0) profile: level 55, about 32,000 HP. Her resist profile is the real story: CR 1000 (cold is nearly useless on her), FR 70 (fire lands hard), and MR, DR, and PR around 340. She is blindable. Her numbers scale up with Voidling difficulty.

Key mechanics

  • Frost Breath A point-blank area cold blast for around 500 damage that also strips buffs (cancel magic). Cold Resist is the counter.
  • Dragon Roar The same area fear as Nagafen. Magic Resist and a fear answer keep you from bolting mid-fight.
  • Complete Heal She is a cleric and heals herself to full. You need enough sustained damage to blow past it; if she heals to full, you simply do not have the DPS on her yet.
  • Banish She can banish a player out of the fight, so expect to be teleported and have to run back in.
  • Summon and immunities She summons players, sees through invisibility and hide, and is uncharmable, unfearable, unmezzable, and unstunnable, so tank her head-on. She enrages harder as she dies.

Resists

Cold and Magic resist for survival, and here is the key: her Cold Resist is capped at 1000 while her Fire Resist is only 70, so damage her with FIRE, not frost. Frost nukes are wasted on her.

Strategy

  • Stack Cold and Magic resist Cold Resist blunts her Frost Breath; Magic Resist blunts the Dragon Roar fear. Cap both before you pull.
  • Bring fire, not cold Her CR 1000 makes frost useless; her FR 70 makes fire land hard. Lean on fire damage to out-pace her heal.
  • Out-damage the Complete Heal Time your burn so her self-heal cannot keep up. If she resets to full, dial the difficulty down or bring more damage.
  • Plan for the Banish If she banishes you out, run straight back and re-engage rather than panicking and resetting the fight.
  • Fight her in the lair Engage where she stands so the giants and adds stay predictable while you focus her down.

Good to know

If you can solo one dragon but not the other, it's almost always a resist gap, swap Cold for Fire resist gear between Vox and Nagafen. See the Voidling guide for how the D0 to D4 instance scaling works.

EverQuest Legends is soloable by design (the trio system), so these classic raid targets don't need a full raid, and the current level cap is 50. Mechanics and loot use the classic encounter as a backbone, which EQL tunes, so treat numbers as reference and confirm in-game.
