An EverQuest Legends guide to the fire-goblin king of Solusek's Eye: how to push through his court, the fire-resist prep that makes the zone easy, his drops, the Singe side target, and what the recent revamp changed. Written for trio play.
The Solusek Goblin King is the leader of the fire-goblin faction, enthroned deep in his court in the burning halls of Solusek's Eye, the classic Sol A. He is the top target of a level 20 to 40 zone, so a mid-level trio can take him with the right prep.
Solusek's Eye is a zone of lava caverns and fire-goblin casters, so fire-resist gear blunts almost everything you face here, including the casters guarding the king's court. Stack what fire resist you can before the run and the whole zone gets noticeably easier, the same lever that matters for the deeper Sol B fights next door.
Push through the fire-goblin camps to the king's court and clear his guards before you engage him. He is a straightforward fight once the court is clear and your resists are up.
Solusek's Eye adjoins Nagafen's Lair, Sol B, the level 40 to 50 dungeon of Lord Nagafen. That connection is handy as an escape route, but pulling too aggressively toward it can drag in far higher content than a mid-level trio can handle. Keep your pulls shallow and let the deep end stay the deep end.
Singe is a drake in the deeper caverns and, since the revamp, a guaranteed spawn. It drops the Drakescale Belt, a fire-resist belt that is genuinely useful in this fire-heavy zone and the Sol B content beyond it. Pull it clear of the deep camps and it is an easy add to a Solusek's Eye run.
As of the August 25, 2026 update, Solusek's Eye was revamped: its rare creatures are now guaranteed spawns with no placeholders, and more named are flagged as rare creatures with higher mote drop rates. That means less time camping a placeholder and more predictable named for a farming trip, plus better motes along the way.
Build your three classes in the Forge with the fire resist Solusek's Eye rewards, save it, and compare it against what other players run in the build database.
