What Lake Nerius is
Lake Nerius is the land in front of the Everling estate, and it has gone wild since the killings in the castle: overgrown, quiet, and watched. Unlike the castle itself, it is an open outdoor zone, so it works the normal way, with standard respawns rather than a Dungeon Crawl. Think of it as the staging ground. You will pass through it, bind here, and run back to it again and again while you work the unlocks.
Getting there
Zone into Nektulos Forest and head west into Lake Nerius. Once you arrive, make for the huts in the middle of the lake, which is where everything begins.
What starts here
- The Nektropos Castle unlockRetainer Ozval sits at the huts in the middle of the lake and gives the account-wide questline that opens Nektropos Castle. It runs you through Lake Nerius, two city merchants, and the Plane of Hate before the gates open. Full steps are on the castle walkthrough.
- The Corrupted KedgspawnThe signet ring for Ozval's questline drops from the Corrupted Kedgspawn in the top-left of the map, at /waypoint 2662, 1229, -115. It can be contested, so use /pick or a private instance if the camp is busy.

Where it leads
Lake Nerius is the front door to the launch's two headline features. Finish Ozval's chain and you are inside Nektropos Castle, the endgame Dungeon Crawl in the Everling home. Finish the race quest and you can roll an Ayr'Haeth, whose home in the Undercroft sits at the very bottom of that same castle. Two ends of one story, both starting on this lake.
